I’m so confused on what time it is where. I’m pretty sure its 6 p.m. on August 31st in Nepal.
Ooh, break time again. This time for a light breakfast of muffin, ham and cheese croissant, and orange juice. Did you know alcohol is free on B.A. flights? How are the British able to still have so many complimentary services?
We are currently flying over Ireland. The cloud cover is too thick to see anything. I watched a Myth Buster’s episode the other day in which they sought to prove whether or not we actually landed on the moon or not. I totally feel that way now.
Oh I forgot to say that I love all the British accents. I totally feel like I am heading towards Hogwarts.
We are now beginning our descent into London. Still can’t see anything.
I just took a moment to brush my teeth. First time I’ve stood up in over 8 hours. Man, are my legs sore and swollen!
I wonder if you can ignite nicotine gum? If you could keep it burning, you could inhale it. That would be real good!
Flying over Manchester now. Pretty tired. I didn’t last long last night. Slept aweful.
I am sitting next to a nice man from Croatia. He works on cruise ships and is heading home for a little break. It was very interesting that he not only understood spiritual healing, but also was sort of like, duh!
10:09 p.m. Nepal time August 31st.
I will have to rethink how torturous it is to fly to Washington D.C.! We had to fly circles around London because of a back up due to poor weather.
Finally the clouds broke. I saw a beautiful architectural layout sort of like a peacock’s feathers. Gorgeous landscaping and a humongous castle!
It was so cool. Eventually we landed. Eventually we were able to leave the plane. Eventually I made it to security where they had to tear apart my backpack because of my super deadly, ninja like, hard core…. Knitting needles.
Then I find out I cannot get my gate information until about an hour till my flight leaves. It can take a half an hour to get to your gate even if you are in the correct terminal.
I got some coffee. Kack! I paid for internet. Double kack at the price and speed. Then I realized it was almost time to board so I ran to my gate. Too walk down forever and ever to board a bus, way too packed to breath, to wait. We are finally boarded and waiting.
The flight information is being announced in Hindi and English. Quite beautiful!
I am seated next to a Swiss man (actually an Iranian man living in Geneva with a Swiss passport) and a French man. They are beautiful! They immediately offered me chocolate! I told them chocolate makes everything better!
I wanted to know if travelling in Europe and Asia was different for gay men. They didn’t quite understand me.
I just find the world so interesting. So many similarities and differences. For those that are reading this on Blogger, I am writing this all in my travel journal and then transferring it.
I like the flight attendants uniforms. The British ladies are wearing a pressed white shirt with a navy suit and a checkered neck scarf. The Indian ladies are wearing uniforms that replicate saris.
The captain just announced that the poor weather has picked up again so our flight is delayed. It looks just like Seattle weather so I’m not sure what’s up. Maybe 30-45 minutes the captain said.
I want to live over here. So many things to see, to experience! Maybe one day I will be able to travel more… for sight seeing. I know there are some that would say I travel a lot, but that’s business related and I get to see very little of the world.
Tons o brick buildings that can be seen from the air. I love brick houses. They can be very austere and strict looking or so inviting you feel like Hansel.
Just so you know, the seating on a 777 in coach is just like sitting in coach on any other plane.
I think I will change my pants when I get to India. The waist has stretched out too much in these ones to stay up securely any more.
I think I shall read for a bit as I await our departure.
