Torma is made from sampa (roasted barley flour, butter, and sugar) and are used as ritual cakes. These ones are 'permanent' which means they stay up until they mold and then the birds get them. We make fresh torma for various pujas that are either eaten or given to Nature. I so love their traditions here.
