There are a series of caves around the temples. Both Hindu and Buddhist hermits live in these caves as they go on retreat. Some retreats last a lifetime. Just to the right of this photo is a very small Buddhist temple. Very old. We didn't get to it and I'm not sure how we'd get to it or if we could.
